Welcome to the Avon Old Farms golf program, where excellence meets the fairway. Our competitive varsity and junior varsity teams participate in the prestigious Founders League during the thrilling spring season.
Our program sets high standards, aiming to instill values like sportsmanship, teamwork, and integrity, mirroring the timeless principles associated with the game of golf.
Varsity golf engages in weekly matches, both 9 and 18 holes, alongside standout tournaments such as the Founder's League Tournament, Western New England Prep School Invitational, Kingswood Invitational Tournament, and our very own Coppola Cup. JV golf competes in 9-hole matches against other Founders League schools on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For those with prior golf experience, our developmental golf program is tailored to enhance skills, with an eye on making the JV team in the subsequent season.
Our home course, the challenging 18-hole layout at Farmington Woods Country Club, provides the perfect backdrop for both varsity and JV teams to hone their skills. The program boasts depth with varsity, JV, and developmental teams.
Winged Beavers from our program have soared to new heights, competing at collegiate and professional levels. Recent graduates have excelled in Division I and II college golf. Signature components include a spring trip to Florida for varsity golf, offering a chance to conquer signature courses in Jupiter, Palm Beach, and Vero Beach.
